Government Polytechnic College, Purapuzha, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pride and patriotic fervour.The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Smt. Binu B. R. The NCC cadets presented a ceremonial rifle salute, adding grandeur to the occasion. Students and staff members assembled to witness the event. Following the flag hoisting, the Principal delivered a short and inspiring message highlighting the significance of independence and the role of youth in nation-building. NCC Officer Lt. Dileesh Mathew addressed the gathering, speaking on the uniqueness of our freedom and the challenges we face today in safeguarding it.The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

After the college programme, students proceeded to Thodupuzha by the college bus to participate in the Independence Day celebrations jointly organised by Thodupuzha Municipality and Thodupuzha Merchants’ Association. The colourful procession began at Gandhi Square and culminated at the Merchants’ Association Trust Hall.Our college received a mementofor the best participation , marking a proud moment for the institution.
